Re: How's the weather today?

Feel for you both, unpleasant weather sure affects our mood. I had aircon on most the day but cool breeze later tonight.
Looks like WA closing to NSW again. Did you hear the Sydney to Hobart ⛵ Race is cancelled 😲

Sad about the yacht race but I don’t think there were many entries.

A family member keeps posting pics of snow (living in northern hemisphere). I prefer the heat with air con.

Yep @Former-Member You're right, I just checked (I don't watch the News).

WA has closed Borders with NSW (again) - anyone coming in from NSW has to Quarantine themselves for 14 days (& get tested).

Anyone can still come into WA from Qld though EOR

I would prefer the Snow @Eve7 Easier to Heat the house (warm up), than to Cool down.

Aircon in WA is never effective enough.

In Winter (not really very cold), I could easily Heat my house up to Roasing (if I wanted to).

No, snow is for visiting not living. I know what you mean by being able to get warm when it’s cold.

I prefer summer.

Re: How's the weather today?

I don't survive Summer well.

More energy in Winter.

Not a matter of preference.

Cannot function in Summer.

I looked up Climate Patterns - Came as a surprise.

Apparently the West Coast of Every Continent - Is Hotter & Drier than the East Coast.

Not just WA - It’s always been Global.

It's to do with Ocean Currents & Mountains.

No Mountains on West Coast - means much lower rainfall.

@Adge

I was in WA last December and it was 42 when I stepped outside the airport...it never gets that hot here but it’s more humid.

Im going to bed soon so will say good night.

Take care

Re: How's the weather today?

Yes yes, it is more humid on the East Coast (I know) @Eve7

I don't miss the humidity at all.

I grew up in Syndey, was there 24 years.

I lived 12 months in Brisbane.

I have closest relatives in NSW, Cousins & Aunt in Qld.

The Saving Grace in Brisbane, was living on the Coast - having a Sea Breeze...

Darwin (NT) I saw only when I was a child.

My one visit to Broome (northern WA) - Dripping with sweat (all day), the moment we stepped outside the Aircon Motel.

Broome is very similar to Darwin, in climate - almost unbearable.

The wildlife was absolutely Gorgeous.

Dozens of Geckos (at night) on the outside walls - All lined up, under the external Lights, waiting to catch Moths.
