Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Ohhh nooo @BlueBay 😱

What is it with Centrelink, that they seem to know the most vulnerable time to strike???

Hope you can get it all sorted quickly. ♥

Re: Need to vent

i hate Centrelink. I completed my online claim for jobseeker again as I was told to do. I also booked a phone appt for thursday at 2pm. No one called. So i went in to Centrelink and asked why no one called me and their response 'oh i don't know why' it has been cancelled. but no one contacted me to cancel phone appt. So she makes another appt for the next day (yesterday) for 12 noon. she said someone will call me and it will only take 10 mins. So i waited yesterday and waited - no call again!! by this stage i was really angry, no apology from them nothing. so i went back on line and made another appt for next tuesday (right in the middle of moving and unpacking). lets see if they call; and if they do i will tell them how angry I feel.

house looks like a real mess. i can't really clean until we move. settlement now has been delayed to 2pm instead of 11am. but the guys are coming at 8am to load truck and they will head off and have lunch break before dropping stuff off at new place at 2pm.

hubby has had 5 months to remove a buffet unit that we couldn't sell. he is taking it to the tip. such a shame, it is a very strong solid buffet with a few scratches and the salvos won't take it because they can't sell it with scratches. i thought they were supposed to help the vulnerable.

anyway - yesterday hubby decides to call our agent friend and borrow his trailer and he mentioned to us we could borrow. He drives to his place and then realises that the connection to car and trailer don't work. so now last night he was huffing and puffing and cursing everything. i turned around and said that he has left everything he had to do until the very last minute. he said he knew but still huffing and puffing.

i can't do anything - the trailer now is loaded with all the crap he no longer wants and he has gone to shops to buy piece he needs; then he will go to the tip.

he has been doing my head in the last couple of days with everything, telling me we have so much stuff that he has no idea where we are going to put it. well i am not worrying because until i get there and see i won't know.

and to think he will be home with me all of next week.

i am soooo tired, still not sleeping well. yesterday woke up with a very very fast heart rate. it scared me a bit but it did slow down during the day.

i hope we can get everything in the truck, i am feeling overwhelmed a bit with all this stuff. so many things i have to change address for; and i have to do because hubby has no clue.

another thing - i saw my psych the other day (not sure if i have already mentioned this) but she mentioned to me 'victim of crime compensation'. she said she was inquiring for another patient of hers and then thought of me as well that i may possibly be elegible. she said that i don't need to go to court, i wouldn't have to have the guys charged. i would have to make a statement and i could possibly get compensation for financial help for therapy as it will be long term. she is looking it this further for me. i thought after 10 years no one has ever mentioned this before. i do have an excellent psychiatrist.

sunny today, just went for a walk. i needed to get out of the hosue for a while. and every now and then i get the guilts. the guilt feeling of selling and moving; then i feel a little excited and plan how i want the house to look etc and then the guuilt comes back. the sadness of leaving such a nice beautiful area.

right now i am just going with the flow of everything - packing, changing address on everything, organising disconnection and reconnection and moving. it's such a big big job as many of you would know.

and my body is not being kind - i have a sore back and need to be careful it doesn't get worse.

i better go and do something, not sure what but something i guess. i just feel really sad today, actually teary.

it's silly isn't it.

take care everyone, sorry i have supported many this past week. everything at home is taking over.

xxxxxxoooo

Re: Need to vent

thanks @Snowie xxx

my back is so sore. we have done so much today. we have packed three cars up with things that can't go in the truck. put all our clothes with hangers in my car. i have just cooked some fish i had to use to empty out freezer. hubby has just gone to get some chips.

i could go to bed right now but there is still so much to do.

i know in the morning we will be up early and the removalists will be here at 7,45am.

my daughter will come late morning with little A to help. my son has taken day off work so he can help as well. and future son in law is coming early afternoon when he finishes work to help us set things up at new place.

it's such a busy busy time, i also have a hired car as mine is getting fixed which will take 2 weeks.

and this week is so so busy too with appts -

monday - move

tuesday - centrelink phone appt; installation of front door security door. afternoon friend of our son is coming to quote us for a deck out the back. he can do before christmas.

wednesday - dr appt

thursday - gyno and dentist appt in morning; then in afternoonn curtain company coming to measure up a full wall sheer curtain for our bedroom.

and i forgot - unpack stuff and put away in cupboards and drawers.

need to buy a small coffee table; new bbq trays; lamp for lounge room; veggies for pots

gosh i am tired just thinking about this week!!!

think i am so ready for a break
