Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

Yes it is a very hard time for both of you at the moment

And he would be feeling right out of his comfort zone just like you and this is when you need each other to get through this @BlueBay

Like us when we had our fire ( our decision was to build or not to rebuild) --- Mr shaz was soo worried, stressed, and we even had the house plans drawn up

But we are not going to rebuild because it is too much on us

Re: Need to vent

I wish and pray that there is a lovely house around the corner that you both love @BlueBay

Has you D suggested anything or looked at the houses with you

Re: Need to vent

hi @Shaz51 @traveller @Charis

thanks for your support this morning.

we ended up going for a coffee, walk and drive around and saw two small townhouses close by to use.

i think now that hubby is wanting something for me closer to the beach as then I can walk down here by myself. i think he wants a small place so then we can quickly clean it, close the door and go away travelling every so often. he doesn't want a big house because he said it's too much cleaning for me and doesn't want that. he wants a very simple house, simple life.

so we will wait and see, we have emailed agent to see this townhouse/unit near us. it is a little bit more (still affordable for us with a reduced home loan) and will be in same area.

i think our kids have had enough with our chop and change all the time. but i feel they understand that we need to put ourselves first; our finances need to be reduced to be able to live a better quality life and our health and for the future. no point in buying a big 4 bd home if all i will do is clean - there's more to life than cleaning a house.

i am sorry i really felt so overwhelmed this morning. seeing hubby upset really got to me.

need to take one step at a time. i am so glad i am seeing my GP first thing tomorrow morning and then my pyschiatrist; i really need to let it all out and talk.

i can only imagine @Shaz51 how tough it's been for you and hubby with building or deciding not to. the stress is huge and it starts to put pressure on the relationship.

hugs @Shaz51 xxxxooo

Re: Need to vent

thanks my lovely friend @Shaz51

my hubby has taken 3 days off work and seeing my doctor tomorrow. he is so stressed.

he asked our son for some money and his reply to him was 'mum should get a job'!!!!

what the hell!! how inconsiderate; does he not understand mental illness. i feel so guilty for how our finances are at the moment. it's my fault/

do you know how hard i am trying to get better; how my anxiety, stress and depression is so high right now that i couldn't even think of going to work. and then theres the stress of finances, house etc

how the hell do i go to work when i have no confidence, feeling so so depressed.

i saw my GP this morning and broke down. i told him i am trying to be strong for hubby and myself but i can't. i just can't be strong for both of us. my blood pressure was high which he feels is from high anxiety.

then saw my psych who when i saw her said i am very stressed, anxious and affecting my physical health ie. headaches, sleep, eating and blood pressure.

i can't eat because i feel so sick; the anxiety is taken over.
