Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

Yeah @Shaz51
I am reading this
https://www.amazon.com/Sapiens-Humankind-Yuval-Noah-Harari/dp/0062316095

It's very interesting.

Mozzies are out now. Will go back in. Plus a bit darker and can't read that well in dark

I feel more settled atm. I find this is the case after I do something like a walk or a bike ride or a gym visit.

Have some things to look st tomorrow and maybe jump on them tonight too. Public holiday here tomorrow.

French chicken for dinner here. Smells really good and I am hungry haha

Re: Need to vent

good morning my friends @MDT @Shaz51 @Snowie @Emelia8 @BPDSurvivor @oceangirl

and others following on -

i have had a few horrible negative mind days. the thought of losing everything was going through my mind - house, family, life.

i had an appt with my psychiatrist yesterday morning first thing at 9am. That was so welcoming. I was relieved once i walked into her rooms. I sat down and she could tell i wasn't myself. I started crying and not looking up at her and telling her how 'bad' my situation with finances are. I told her every possible negative thing about me and she was shocked to know how bad i was and was even thinking of suicide.

She asked how my sleeping, eating and my daily routine have been going. I told her i have been sleeping a lot during the day to which my GP thinks it's not a good idea. i told her i have no motivation, couldn't care less.

we spoke about my knitting headbands, bath salts and eye pillows. i told her i have sold 3 since putting it up on facebok, she was impressed.

so the plan is to: -

  1. continue knitting headbands and sew eye pillows (for this week only)
  2. continue making bath salts (next week)
  3. do some housework BUT also do things for myself
  4. incorpate a daily yoga session online
  5. continue walking to lose weight but more importantly for my mental health and to be out in nature
  6. change some of my habits of bingeing
  7. we are also looking at changing my medication, but she needs to look at previous meds. needs to be careful new one doesn't cause weight gain or sleep issues
  8. continue communicating with hubby even if in little spurts and not too overwhelming for me
  9. continue seeing little A as this helps my mental mood
  10. keep seeing my GP fortnightly and i can see my psych as often as i want

I have been very lucky and defintely grateful for the amazing psych I have been given. She is caring, genuinely intertrested and empathic towards our financial issues. She is now bulk billing me each session. i am so very grateful.

so this week hubby is home, we are trying to be more interactive and walking together. today i am going to cut out some more material for the eye pillows. i might get hubby to cut out while i sew!!!

thank you also for all your support over the last week. i am truly grateful xxxxoooo
