Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Good morning my beautiful friends - well today it's 23 deg. the sun is out early and i have done a 5km walk with a friend this morning and a coffee at the beach.

Load of washing is out drying, the windows are open to change the air inside. I also just baked some choc chip muffins, and dinner is marinating - chicken drumsticks.

Now not sure what to do, might do some knitting. Might go for another walk later on.

what is everyone up to today? hope whatever you do is nice xxxxooo

@Snowie @BPDSurvivor @oceangirl @Shaz51 @MDT and others reading along 🙂

@BlueBay Hi my sister

Its good to see you & thank you for your tag

You have done so much, but glad you went for your walk and had coffee with your friend

I caught up with a friend this morning and spend a few hours with her- and we meet at the local cafe and we went for a short walk too.

On the way home I stopped off at target and coles and then came home and helped Milo. I have been watching youtube videos and now on the forum. I am feeling a bit sleepy and might put my head down for a nap (hopefully just for 45mins). Did you go for another walk? Talk to you soon !!

Re: Need to vent

Glad you had a nice bath @Snowie

I've been having baths with relaxing music on at least 2-3 times a week. I just fidn it relaxing. I also use magnesium flakes which helps with all the aches and pains!!

Hey @oceangirl glad you did a walk with your friend yesterday too. Anbd a coffee afterwards is a must!!!

@Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @Eve7

This morning my son got up at 6am and asked me if i wanted to walk with him down the beach. i was still half asleep so said no. But i ended up going at about 8am, after breakfast and i did a load of washing. I walked 5km, bought a coffee and sat at the beach. Then the tears flowed. Don't know why, but i quickly closed my eyes and just listened to the waves. that really helped.

I had a psych appt this morning. She is amazing. For the first time in 11 years after having 4 different psychs i now feel comfortable talking to a psych. she listens, we laugh, she cares. i feel calm when i am with her, i feel i can say whatever i want. i brought my knitted headbands to show her, she loved them.

She told me towards the end of the session that i am improving. I told her that today i feel good. The weather helps being sunny, i now have a routine. it took a month of me being home to get myself into a structured routine.

She even offered to bulk bill me as she knows i have no job and struggling financially. Such a caring person.

Now i am home, had lunch and will sit now and knit some more headbands.

hope you are all doing okay today. lots of love

xxxxxooooo

Re: Need to vent

I am glad you are doing better today @BlueBay

Glad you got to go for a walk. Sometimes it is good just to have a good cry. Sometimes it helps just to get it out.

I am so glad you are having a good relationship with your psych. She sounds lovely and sounds like she has your best interest at heart. I hope this relationships continues for you.

I went for a walk with the dog. Was going to go have a bath now that I am hot and sweaty. I find having a bath relaxing too. Took some prn too so that has helped also. Just a bit worried that I am starting to rely on them to get through my days. Another week too without ECT so not sure how I will go. Sorry, just rambling. Time for a bath

Re: Need to vent

Good on you for going for a walk @Snowie great stuff.

hope you relax in your bath.

are you taking your prn daily? if so, could you try every second day?? (just a thought)

or is there something else you can do/take instead of the prn??
