Sick of everyone

Sick of everyone

Im sick of everyone. Why do old farts cling to life? Why do they get cancer treatment ect, at 80 plus year old ???? Why does everyone think they are entitled to a special kind of life? I say, Get over yourselves. Stop expecting the lastest and greatest and just get on with growing, breathing, populating and accepting dying. Stop wanting. You only need sustenance, shelter,cloth,air and water. Stop wanting a $500,000 home. You could live in a $50,000 home in a paradise if you would only change your mind set. I changed my mind set and now im free. Stop trying to live for other people's robotic ideal life.

Re: Sick of everyone

Hi @Noname1,

Welcome to the Forums and thanks for your post!

They’re some interesting questions you’ve raised. I wonder what your thoughts are about why you think that people cling to life in old age, or why they feel entitled to a special kind of life? From what you’ve said, it sounds like you don’t feel that way. My impression is that you feel that “letting go” is how we embrace life; that being grateful for what we have and accepting life exactly as it is, rather than how you “wish” it were, is how we live well and enjoy our life. Thoughts?

I wonder what others thoughts are on the issue? I’m sure it is certainly something close to all of our hearts. These are big questions. What is the ideal life? How should we best live? How do find and pursue happiness?

supernova.

Re: Sick of everyone

Hi Noname 1. From the tone of your post, it seems that we should be born with a 'use by' date. Once we get past 80, pull the pin. Why shouldn't older age be just as entitled to medical treatment? If someone can comfortably live to 90t, why shouldn't they? I don't know your age, but if you are quite young, are you going to still feel as you do once you are older? I'm 65 years young, and hope to remain 'young' for years yet. I agree that a comfortable home, and being alive is good, but so is the knowledge that we don't have a 'use by' date. Each person who lives past 80 is grateful to be alive. Not many ask for help, those who do, need it, therefore, why shouldn't they get help? Make the most of your life, I agree, but know that if you do need help, it's there. Besides there's many a fine tune played on an old fiddle. You learn much from older age. They've 'been there, done that' and seen more than you or I.

@Noname1

Someone who was important to me Chose to continue on with her treatment in her late seventies. It got her in the end but no matter what age, a person has a right to fight for their life. Regardless of the outcome. I don't mean to offend. I respect your opinion, but there are a lot of circumstances that makes a person want to.

Yeah, I feel past my use by date, with an entire family with this attitude. What's to live for? People who are "Sick of you?" Yeah well that makes it easier, not!

A like for @Former-Member's post. I can't get 'likes' to stick at the moment.

@Noname1, are you ok? How long have you been free? What things weighed you down before your freedoms?

Re: Sick of everyone

Dear Hope32. I agree totally with everything you say. I think Noname does have a lot to learn about respecting other people's rights to live as long as they can. My uncle passed from Alzheimers 2 years ago, he was in his 90's. If someone had decided he should 'pass' before his time, my aunt would've been devastated. While someone's living, there's always hope for a cure. One day, hopefully they'll find cures for cancer, dementia, alzheimers, etc. Till they do we continue to fight for the right to live. All of the above illnesses can strike at any age. There's no 'one' age for anything. Death can strike when you're born (stillborn). Life and death are to be respected.

Wondering if something has happened or is happening for you. Know a lot things can be said in frustation and the inability to cope.
