Struggling

Struggling

Hi all,

Things are really hard my way I'm struggling I've been very distant from social media so I haven't been on forums much due to my MH being really bad. I just seem to be picking myself up constantly and it's not fun it's exhausting. I've constantly been switching alters, I've been told I have another one so that's making me scared and worried.
I am keeping to myself a lot because I'm struggling.
I'm trying to get myself stable so I can be better again and that I can do the things I want to do * once Covid is over *

I'm sorry that I haven't been around lately

Take care all ❤️🦋

Hey there @Fluttershy1 I summise by the title of this thread that you have had a rough time of it. I'll read back over the thread when I get a chance but for now happy to chat with you here

How has your day been?

Are you able to expand on the 'horrible' @Fluttershy1 or would you rather chat about other things?

Re: Struggling

@Lee82 @Former-Member @Zoe7 - I was apart of a MH group on social media, I asked for a few days break as my MH has been bad and I had helped out when I had a migraine all weekend. So they made me sign on when I didn't feel up to it... so I left the group... to protect myself as I was getting switchy because I got triggered. My Ex Boyfriend started messaging me and causing trouble which stressed me out and I had blocked him for a reason but he keeps making fake accounts.

Family don't understand my MH, they think I'm faking it for attention when I'm not. They just want to make me feel guilty because I don't do anything when I do. Just like over the weekend how I had a migraine and I had to vacuum on Monday with a migraine still and I felt very unwell afterwards but they didn't care. They said I was faking it when I wasn't. They don't want me engaging with my support team because apparently I don't need them when I do...

I'm safe x

Re: Struggling

That is all so hard for you @Fluttershy1 So many people do not understand MI and so many more do not know what to do or how to act around people with a MI. Family can be our worst enemy in that when we need them the most. It is hard enough living with the enduring issues we have without our family making it harder. I am glad you have supports. Have you worked with them on how to tackle your family?

Is it worth looking into reporting your ex to the police Hon. If he is continuing on messaging you and making fake accounts to contact you then he is out of line. Something to think about maybe?

As for the support group - it doesn't sound like it was very supportive so you are probably better off without it.

Re: Struggling

@Zoe7 - I am ignoring him, I'm linked in with a counsellor though somewhere for reasons. I might tag you in another post so you can read it xx.

they don't want to join in to help me, me all on own to help myself even though I live with them.... I have been looking after my own MH since the age of 17 years old and now I'm 19 and have a full support system and I'm on NDIS due to my disability...

Tbh - I'm kinda glad I left the group anyways...

Re: Struggling

I agree with @Zoe7 sometimes our family can be our worst enemies and instead of them being there to help make things better they do the total opposite.
please know that here we know that you are not faking it and that it is so very real. It is going to take a bit of time to get use to all the switching but I am confident with the proper help from a MH team and also from people like @Former-Member you will get through it and be able to deal with it a lot better. And it will get better hun you just have to believe it will.
do you have a MH team that you can talk to?
