We aren’t allowed to @Justinee , due to anonymity, so yes, just through the forums.

Just a tip. The @symbol brings a dropdown. That’s how we know to reply.

I write some poetry/song type things, I don’t know if that’s helpful, sometimes it just comes out better that way.

We have a thread Writing As A Form Of Therapy , lots of us put things up there. You might like to have a look.

Parent issues with me included....they have both passed away seddenly and I never got the chance to tell them how cruel they were to me.

Ive decided to write a journal of my life with them then bury it with them as I have there ashes at home still with us.🤔🤔🤔does this make sense to you ????

This makes sense to me. I can relate. I'm sorry you had a cruel upbringing though 😞 @Justinee

You wrote, "I dont know what a counsellor could do for me long term 😕😕" ... I have found I've got a lot of healing by talking through my complex childhood trauma with my psychologist, over years. It is too big to ever be fully healed, but it has helped a lot.

If you want to find threads here on trauma, you can type 'trauma' into the search bar...sadly there are a lot of threads on it.

Hi @Justinee

Welcome.
sorry to hear life hasn't treated you so well. I can relate to the sense of panic.
it sounds like having a partner with similar struggles is both a good thing and a hard things. Someone who gets you but i know when mental health is failing it can be hard enough to care for yourself let alone others (although I can do that easier) and you each have your own triggers.

That can be something counselling can help with sometimes, figuring out triggers and how to manage them so you're less likely to trigger each other. It's hard though!
