Hi @Anastasia
Very pleased to know that concern about the health of your son and you was a false alarm. That is positive news. I guess, even in that, you might actually have enjoyed the sense of relief.
Thank you so much for your Christmas greetings and, I hope that you and bf are able to enjoy your time together.
The expression that comes to mind with regard to one of your comments is that there is nothing more constant than change itself.
Very pleased to know that your Dad is home, so that you can be more easily aware of where he is at and what is happening for both your Dad and your Mum. Also recognising that the situation imposes more demands on your Mum's capacity. I hope that your Mum will at least feel some measure of satisfaction in fulfilling her own perceived role, efforts and self-expectation.
I really like the thoughts and feelings expressed in your comment:
“I'm going to make a "life I love to look at". I've finally accepted that I'm the one in control of my own destiny, not others and I'm certainly not in control of anyone else's actions.”
You may also, with those thoughts, have become aware that you have no wish to be:
“in control of anyone else's actions.”
“I have a plan now and I'm excited about what the future holds.”
And with that I can only echo @NatureLover's words:
“Also glad you're excited about the future.”
With My Very Best Wishes
@Anastasia
for today and the future
