Feeling very bored - nothing to do

Feeling very bored - nothing to do

What a bore. Just lying here. Can't ring anyone. They're all sick of me. Friends just take me for granted.

Hi @Catherine,

welcome onto the forums

I dont know about your situation or what your friends are like but your experience of them sounds very isolating. I know that there are a lot of members on here who also feel lonely partly because they are up at unusual hours like the thread Night Shift (although it is starting to go 24 hours) and members who just want to connect and say hi in a social way like Hot Chocolate Anyone? or The Beer Garden, so if you are ever feeling lonley check out these threads and say hi, you will be warmly welcomed

i was also thinking that there are a lot of threads about Looking after your wellbeing if you want some inspiration!

If or when you are ready please tell us anything about you that you would like to share, like what brings you here? (although it is an anonymous forum) ie Is it a search for connection or something else?

I am not even sure about going out socially. How do you check these threads out?

Re: Feeling very bored - nothing to do

I think I know how you feel. I have had similar experiences with friends and family. I know that I have sat at home many times thinking that everyone is sick of me. But actually friends and family were more likely feeling powerless to help me. I remember my sister saying to me 'I'm not a professional counsellor!'. I felt so gutted when she said that but you know she was right. I needed to be clearer with her and explain that I didn't expect her to SOLVE all my problems or FIX my mental illness (bp1) I just needed someone to listen and say 'That sucks'. I also did some major friendship culling. I found this to be extremely helpful. You don't need a lot of friends, just one or two who you can really trust. Good luck xx

Hi @Danielle

As with Catherine please feel comfortable to look around and share of not anywhere you like
