Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

It is easier when we have people around who understand us @Eve7

Unfortunately in real life those people are hard to find 😢

Sitting with you sweetheart 💜

Hi @Former-Member , beautiful photos

Here for you @Snowie

I just had to show my GP what I’d done but she was supportive.

I hope the surgeon doesn’t notice it.

Anyway, I’ve bought dinner from the butcher tonight which is a slow cooked lamb and veg.

Re: Changing meds

Glad your gp was supportive hun @Eve7

It does help when people are non-judgemental too

Tea sounds yum. We are just having chicken stirfry, nice and quick and easy to make.

Not enough energy to cook anything else.

Can you believe I just ate 3 chocolate brownies @Snowie ?

Chicken stir fry sounds good. Your family is lucky to have you there cooking for them.

Its been super humid here again today and I have not had a proper shower for a week. I’ve just knelt in the bath a couple of times and I’m going to have the hairdresser was my hair tomorrow before my Psychologist and surgeon appts.

My interesting life still revolves around medical stuff

Still here for you

They must have been good brownies @Eve7 😊

Getting your hair done sounds nice hun, hopefully you will enjoy the head massage!!

I hope your appointments go ok. I am on the cancellation list for my psych but don't think I will be able to talk to her before xmas.

Still here for you too 💜

Re: Changing meds

Thanks @Anastasia

Just having a little cry here.

Ive been sort of ok during the time Mum has been away, but now feel very guilty and sad that she's come home to a mess for a daughter after such a lovely time with her grandkids.

I honestly believe she'd be better off with me gone and living with my sister and grandkids for the rest of her years.
I hate myself so very much!!
