Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

I did end up going @WIP It was a huge day. Had trouble finding the place. Just got home. Need a cuppa now. That's good you went to the park with Levi. 🐕
Hoping everyone is feeling a bit better this afternoon.

Re: Changing meds

Thank you all for your lovely messges here, I feel blessed to have been included. I was able to sneak the odd look so it was a really nice feeling to know that whilst I couldn't contribute I was still being included. I love you all.

🤗❤️

Today was huuuuge...

Funny I handled it really well and kicked some major goals.

I attribute this to having access bar therapy on Wednesday...honestly believe the difference in my headspace is beyond incredible.

Anyway need to get family dinner. Love to you all and I will catch up with messages either later or over the weekend 🙂🌷🌺🌼💗🤗🌻

Good on you for kicking goals at work today @Anastasia Well Done you! I'm so happy to hear the positivity in your post. 💖💖

I've just googled access bar therapy - looks very interesting. Keep me posted on further treatments (if you have them). I'd be interested in trying it if you recommend it. Although they say regular sessions are recommended & that would be a bit too pricey for me.

Enjoy dinner 🤗

Re: Changing meds

Hi @WIP

My naturopath said one could potentially last a lifetime. I'm seriously such a "better" person from it and it's only been a couple of days. I feel strong in my mind and I have put boundaries up when asked to do tasks at work that I would have only dreamt about doing a week ago. Plus I've carried out tasks I've never done before and not stressed or overthought them whilst doing them. I've just logically worked my way through them. It's actually incredible. Who am I? Lol

You sound pretty good today @WIP at a glance, yes?

You're Wonderwoman!! @Anastasia

I'm ok today thanks (wow, haven't said that in a long time). Started to crash early evening, which is normal for me - well, it's usually late afternoon that I tend to start fading.

I think I'll look into this access bar therapy a bit more and have a session - what have I got to lose?

❣️❤️

That's great that the access bar therapy worked so well for you @Anastasia

I googled it yesterday. 😀 Sounds interesting. 💖

Re: Changing meds

You must be exhausted @Former-Member after such a big day. Very brave of you to drive so far in heavy rain - don't know that I would have been able to do it.

I hope you've got your feet up & relaxing tonight?
