A worthy read...

A worthy read...

I posted about this book in another thread, but thought I should bring it to the whole group.

The booked is called "Switch On Your Brain" by Dr Caroline Leaf. Inside the cover it says....The key to peak happiness, thinking, and health.

Highly recommended, and even though I still have many hurdles to jump still, this book has been great to get my thinking to where it probably should be.

I was lucky enough to be given a copy, but I have found it listed on Ebay for anyone who is interested.

Re: A worthy read...

It is a very good book @Mozoman.
I probably should read it again. 😊
It takes alot of practice to reprogramme our thoughts, doesn't it? 😀

@Former-Member yes its an excellent book, and if there are any fellow Brisbane-ites here id happy to loan it out.

When going through a tough patch it certainly does take a lot to reprogram thinking

*frantically adds this to her reading list*
Thanks @Mozoman - I saw your recommendation in 'What books would you recommend'

I don't think we've crossed paths before - so a big welcome to you 🙂

Just a quick FYI - the forums are anonymous - so unfortunately you won't be able to loan out the book. Such a thoughful offer though.

Welcome again!

Re: A worthy read...

I found out about Sane on TV as well, @Mozoman Its nice to chat to people who understand.

I heard that Dr Caroline Leaf is in Australia this month, I think, doing seminars. Might be worth googling to find out where and when. I am guessing that she is from the US. I havent got her book anymore, someone lent it to me and I have given it back.

Re: A worthy read...

Goodo @Mozoman I will google sometime soon then. I have so many books in our office that ive read, hehe! I should be an expert. I go through stages where I read and read self help books etc and then I cant read for ages. I get over loaded with information. Because I havent found a doctor or psychologist that has been able to help me, ive had to research everything about health, our brain etcetera.
