Re: Morning has broken

Yes I like cooking although I did too much baking during lockdown and ended up putting on weight.

The family is coming tomorrow for a roast...so much happened during the week I feel like last Sunday was years ago @outlander

Thanks for the cuppa

Re: Morning has broken

Im more of a sweet sort of person @Eve7 theres lots of things i want to try and do.its harder now thst i cant have it but i know pop and mum and the kids would have it.
2 things ive been trying to master but i havent successfully yet is pavolva and caramel slice.
Maybe when i have a few free days i might try and make one again.
Have you made them before?

I havent made scones yet. They were my nans favourite and mums not far behind but they have to have jam and cream. Are they hard to make?

Re: Morning has broken

I’ve never made caramel slice but I have made plenty of pavlovas. I think you need a good gas oven for pavlova to get the temperature right but I know people make them successfully in electric ovens.

Scones can be tricky and I don’t make them as well as mum does but mine are ok.

we’ll have to find you some recipes for your new way of eating.

Re: Morning has broken

Yeh im not overly good lol but i give things ago anyway. @Eve7 im better at savoury and dinner sorts of things but i dont enjoy making them as much as deserts.
Theres a cake recipie i want to try out thats suitable for me too. Its a chocolate one but its got like coconut milk in it. Its made from scratch rather then is box mix so thatll be interesting.

Your mum sounds like a good cook. Its funny how even when they help us or give their recipie it never turns out the way they make it hey.

Re: Morning has broken

That chocolate cake recipe sounds good @outlander I’ll be interested to hear how it goes. My mum was a good cook but since she moved in with my sister and family she has given up cooking. She is now waited on hand and foot like the Queen btw did you know since covid the Queen has cut down her servants to just 22.?? I thought that was funny...mum only has 4 “ servants”!!

I am going to bed soon and hoping meds work tonight.

How is your pain now?

Geez only 22 servants :face_with_rolling_eyes: @Eve7 how many servants do you need.

Well at least your mum only has 4 😉

Headaches eased abit, i think i was just overly tense before since it was affecting my teeth and neck alot too.
I had 2 things with unobvious dairy earlier so im feeling that a little. Im hoping to go to bed soon though too
