Hi @Clawde No judgements from me. I wish you well in life. Sorry that your family are not supportive for you. I'm glad you are finding the forums helpful.
Take care. 🌺☕️

Re: Morning has broken

You really must be exhausted after two full on days @Zoe7

Your dear Mum must be exhausted too and now the worry of the horse as well. Hope she’s ok...Mum as well as the horse.

I actually cooked our turkey today as kids didn’t want to do it without me. S2 apologised for calling me psycho and I apologised for being so incompetent yesterday.

Turkey has turned out well so everyone is happy. I was worried it would turn out like the Griswolds turkey in National Lampoons Christmas. I’m now hoping the teenagers will clean up...might be a long wait there.

We’ve played an innings of backyard cricket and now there’s some in the pool playing a version of volley ball. More like tsunami in the pool.

We look like a “normal happy family” lol but it’s just us not the extended family we’d have if we’d gone south.

Re: Morning has broken

Your day actually sounds really lovely @Eve7 and I am really pleased for you

We have only had the immediate family for a few years now - all grandparents have passed and neither my sister nor I have kids so it is a very quiet affair. Every few years my sister's partner's family come down for Christmas and that is a really lovely day ...but of course with COVID it wasn't even on the agenda this year - maybe next year. We have also flown over for the day before as well then had dinner with our parents - that is one very long day.

I hope the kids help clean up - but knowing teenagers in general Yes it might be a very long wait lol

DIL has cleaned up. S1 & S2 Have gone for a walk and taken little ones with them. Three teenagers are still in the pool. My neighbour is helping out too. I invited her over as she’s on her own and if she’s here being fed and helping she won’t complain about the noise.

I’ve never flown south just for the day at Christmas but have for other occasions. Once I flew to Sydney for morning tea with old friends and was back home for afternoon tea! Crazy.

How are you @Former-Member ?

Re: Morning has broken

That is crazy @Eve7 but I bet you had a good day I was really pleased to travel there and back in one day becuse then I didn't have to worry about my fur babies.

I usually do it to save $$ on accommodation @Zoe7

Re: Morning has broken

I used to do that too @Eve7 get an early flight out and then a later one back on the day I returned. Now I would need he extra night to be able to rest - can't do what I used to do because of energy levels. Not going to be an issue for a while though - won't go anywhere and leave my fur babies unless I absolutely have no choice.

Re: Morning has broken

I won’t be going anywhere in the near future either @Zoe7 I lost a fair bit of money this year cancelling my European cruise and I was off work for months being unwell.

I’m really hoping to do a lot better in 2021.
