S1 and his partner have just bought a very fancy duplex @Snowie They moved in last weekend.
Did you enjoy the opening ceremony? I did.

That sounds exciting for S1 @Eve7
Is it far from your place?
Yes I enjoyed the opening ceremony and didn't fall asleep! Will be happy to watch all the sports. Did watch a bit last night too.

No, it’s 90 minutes away from where I live but it’s so Miss 8 didn’t have to change schools @Snowie
We watched the OG last night too. Looking forward to the next week.

Thats probably a good thing that she didn't have to change schools @Eve7 Can be a lot for a child to do that.
At least you can go visit them when you have time.

She’d be brokenhearted if she had to change schools @Snowie She loves her school and she’ll go through to year 12 there.
Ive been rather lazy today except for an early morning walk. S1 just rather stressed by all the unpacking. They’ve painted the new place and pulled up the carpets as well as put down new flooring. I’m just sitting around now doing nothing but I’ll cook the dinner soon.

That was like my kids @Eve7 Went from prep to year 12 at the same school. Did make the transition from grade 6 to year 7 a lot easier.
My day has been pretty lazy too. Struggled to get off the couch. Will have to get up and cook tea soon.
Whats for dinner? You staying the night?
