Im anxious about going home @Snowie I feel really relaxed right now but I can’t stay on holiday forever.
Do you have anything else on this week?
In response to: Re: Morning has broken

Thats understandable @Eve7
It's like going back to reality. Everything is waiting for us at home.
Got a phone appt. with someone from Dementia Australia tomorrow morning. Looking at what other support we can get for mum. She's got an appt. Thurs that I'll have to take her to.
When do you go home?

Home tomorrow @Snowie I hope you can get support for your mum to take some of the pressure off you.
I see pdoc next week after almost 2 months which has been a long time with a few mishaps. Even though it’s next week it still seems like ages away.

I'm sure it will be nice to be home and back in your own bed @Eve7 but I know it can bring up some things too. Bit of a mixed bag.
Please reach out if you need some help/support
Hopefully they can help with support, or at least point us in the right direction.
Thats good that you see your pdoc next week. I'm sure you have lots to tell them. Those appointments can feel so far in between. I hope they are able to help.

Im exhausted from having to pretend every day, telling people I’m fine when I’m not, joining in conversations that mean nothing to me, trying to sleep at night.
Ive given up trying to be a real person. Sorry if I don’t make sense @Snowie

Nah you make sense @Eve7
It is so hard pretending. Plastering that fake smile on your face, saying your fine when people ask, doing small talk. It is exhausting. I get that. It can take so much out of us.
At least at home we can just be ourselves, whatever that may look like. We can just be.

Hugs @Eve7 I really relate to your last post… struggling with doing small talk for other people’s sake, and sacrificing our deeper authenticity. Yet we care about community and society. its just that is often taken for granted.
glad you are home safe and sound. I always love the name of your thread.
hope you don’t mind me popping in.
@tyme @Bow @Emelia8 @Snowie
take care all…
