Sounds like you're as prepared as possible for the cyclone now @Eve7 . Just a matter of battening down the hatches now and waiting it out.
It's been a long time coming, wish it would just come and get it over and done with now. The slower it goes, the longer the bad weather is going to hang around. Please just GO!!!
Fingers crossed your electricity stays connected.

Well hopefully nothing does fly away @Eve7
I guess there is not much more to do except wait. Waiting can be really frustrating at times too.

Thanks @Emelia8 as prepared as I can be with plenty of food and hopefully enough power.

Everything is tied down outside @Snowie but there are some big trees over my back fence. Hopefully they are big enough and strong enough to stay firmly in the ground.

Hopefully the trees can withstand the winds @Eve7 and they don't come falling down. Last thing that you need.
I think they will end up calling in other emergency services from different states for help.

I’ve been without power for almost 24 hours and no sign of it coming back on anytime soon. I’m currently sitting in the car charging my phone and listening to the radio.
I went for a bit of a drive earlier and there are a lot of trees down but no damage to homes that I could see. The cheesecake shop was open so gs1 went in for a chocolate mud cake!
More rain is forecast over night so my poor garden is taking a battering.
I’m ok for now.

Hi dear @Eve7
Thanks for letting us know you are safe hon. Thats a shame about your power. Hopefully it gets restored soon.
I hope you got some sleep last night and things are going ok today.

Thanks @Snowie power came back on late last night.
There’s a poor magpie sheltering on my deck looking very forlorn so I might take out some food for him/her.
No flooding in my garden but so wet. It feels like the Christmas week when you don’t know what day it is! I’m so over the constant rain.
Sending lots of love to you 💕

So glad to hear you have your power back on @Eve7 Hopefully you don't loose it again.
It would be very wet there.
About 34 here today with no rain in sight. Crazy how it can be so different.
Can you get out at all or are they telling everyone to stay home?
The magpie does sound like it is taking shelter. I'm sure it would be grateful for any food.
