S2 and wife were living in USA so h and I met up with them in Hawaii on the big island not Honolulu.
Its much quieter with less tourists and easy to drive around if you can cope with driving on the other side of the road.
Someone (not me) had the bright idea to drive up to the volcano but we went late in the day so on arrival most people were leaving.
We set off to walk along to see whatever you see at a volcano and the further we went the darker it got. We had torches but it was pitch black and through cracks in the ground we could see the fire below. I was terrified while H thought it was wonderful.
When we walked as far as you could go we saw how spectacular it was with the red fire and black, black night.
Ive never forgotten the terror I felt at such a spectacular sight.
Its off my bucket list and I’ll never again go near a volcano!!

I had no idea it would be like it was @outlander and I was terrified the whole way and too scared to walk back alone!!

Thanks @Eve7 but i dont think its a good idea tonight. Just going to try and settle so might actually sleep before 4am would be nice. So many aspects of life thats hard and pain isnt cooperating atm in the womens department so making it tricky.
I hope your pdoc is understanding and that the session isnt to difficult. Can u do sonething nice afterwards?
