Hey @Eve7 that sounds super distressing, has that happened to you before when seeing your pdoc? Sounds like you became very dysregulated, are you worried that it will keep happening each time you have an appt?
What are you doing this afternoon to look after yourself hun? Here to listen if you wanna chat 💜

Thanks for reading my post @Jynx yes, it has happened before during my appointments. Pdoc says it’s anxiety and ptsd but I don’t want it to happen and I’m still distressed by it that I don’t want t to keep seeing my pdoc.

@Eve7 Mm it's difficult to feel motivated to attend appts if the result is you feeling this way. I wonder if it's because of the particular pdoc, who hasn't created an environment/a relationship that feels safe for you? Or could it be the nature of the appts themselves, and past traumas in this particular context that make it so challenging?
In any case, only you know what is best for you. If you aren't getting benefits from the appts that outweigh the emotional costs, then finding a different type of support might be the way to go.

Pdoc has bent over backwards to make me feel comfortable @Jynx but I do think having weekly visits has been too much as well as expensive. I like her and wish it wasn’t this hard but today I dissociated so much I didn’t manage to talk about what was happening at home.
Ive made an appointment with my psychologist next week and will discuss it with him.

Aww true, well I'm glad that the pdoc isn't the issue @Eve7 but yes, perhaps adjusting the frequency would help? Or you could take a break, and book your next appt for a month or two from now. Definitely a good one to discuss with psych. I hope you find a pathway forward that works for you.
How are you feeling now, has your system settled down some?

I’m going to try and distract myself with my uni study for a while @Jynx otherwise I’ve just wasted a whole day. I took some prn but that only makes me more sleepy.

If rest is needed @Eve7 then that is not at all a waste of a day, it is you attending to your needs. But also, if uni work can help distract and have something else to focus on, then that's a good idea too 😊
