No worries @Lee71
Is there any single thing you could do today or next week that feels like it would meet a core need for you? On your terms?
I am not such a big believer in distraction techniques tho I know it works for some. If activity is only distraction then the issues leading to despair may not be addressed. I prefer the gradual proactive approach.

I'm sorry to hear, but am not surprised. @Lee71 😞
@Appleblossom , what's the gradual proactive approach?

idk @NatureLover just taking the positive steps when you can and eventually it will only be 2 steps back but 3 or 4 forward. Over time all that accumulates and it matters.
Like deciding to buy something or go somewhere that will help and heal. That way the healing power is within the person. Maybe it is in doing mandalas or going for a walk. I pulled out a colouring book I bought 6 years ago and I might start it this week!
Whatever you decide on your own. Whatever one can manage is good enough. Self respect first if one cant find self love. I was told not to go to bed and that it was bad to stay up all night, but I had to go through those periods to be able to heal. I just NEEDED it big time, but now I dont. It was important for me not to blindly follow orders ... I was already too good at that.
