Lee, I am horrified that the mental health team don't think you are 'bad enough' to take on. No wonder you feel worse 😮
What about a referral to a psychiatrist, did the doctor mention anything about that?
The only good thing is that you've got another sleep med.
And that the doctor obviously cares about you and is concerned, that's good too. @Lee71

Yes It is terrible, makes me think I need to prove it.
As for the referral have to wait until I hear from them .
You're right my doctor does seem to care, and she said more than once today she was concerned because of what I was saying. At least she take a me seriously .

It's my pleasure to try and be here for you, Lee. Thank you for your thanks.
Thank you also for writing so much news above...
I am pretty worried for you. I'm also confused as to why the referral to a psychiatrist has to come from the mental health team? My GP referred me to a psychiatrist...

Im Not too sure why either, but i guess it just works that way.
If they don't call then so be it, I'm over it

OK, @Lee71
May I ask if you have attempted before? (No need to answer if you'd prefer not to)

Many times? I am so sorry to hear, Lee... 😞 @Lee71
I have attempted 3 times, all when I was much younger, before I was 22.

My most recent was last year.

Hi there @Lee71,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I am glad to hear that your doctor has been a great source of support for you. We hear you and can empathise with how difficult and frustrating the experience must have been. Have you considered contacting the mental health commission to address this? You can take a look at this for more information.
I also want to encourage you to reach out to Suicide Call Back Service if you ever need to chat about previous attempts or challenges with self-harm.
Take care,
Peonies
