Our experience and stories

It is, it seems, the social norm to present a 'coping well' face to friends and family when one is far from

this situation. Find it hard to express my feelings as most people think I'm strong and independent. Do

other forum members find it difficult to express and vent what's bugging them? Crying is something I find

hard to do physically but I cry inside at the hurts in life. Sorry to sound somewhat down but have had a

bad day. Hope with warmer weather not too far away, it will bring brighter things in life. Enjoyed the Weekly

Friday Feast and the different ideas for food presentation. Bimby2

Re: Our experience and stories

Hi @Bimby2

sorry to hear that you had an off day ...

most of us have masks in order to cope and also experience distress in private ... it can be a good conversation topic to touch on lightly ... it allows for the humaness in us all.

Thank you Appleblossom for your kind words of support. It takes time and patience to be gentle with

our emotions and bad days can be followed by a better day. This is a wonderful forum for support and

friendship and we are indeed blessed to have same. May you have a pleasant weekend. Bimby2

Re: Our experience and stories

Yes the forum has helped me. My son is a bit possessive of me and is learning to let go ... a year ago it was really important for me to connect with this forum online ... I may have had a disaster otherwise ... but I also had a positive thinker brow beating brother ... and that can be awful too ... God luv him ... he needs it ... he is trying to turn cancer into a positive thinking exercise ... sometimes we are down and that is that. My daughter says what goes down must come up ... the scientist in me thinks it is the opposite way.

Cheers Apple
