Tough Times

Tough Times

I thought I'd open up this discussion for anyone going through a rough time at the moment and want to get some extra support.
I am struggling a lot at the moment dealing with a range of things. One thing a struggle with is Anxiety. This is something I deal with everyday. I wake up with it every morning and fall asleep (when I sleep) with it every night. Some days are worse than other days. Distractions play a big part in coping with it daily. At the moment being stuck at home schooling my kids is my biggest distraction. It helps most of the time however sometimes it can be a real struggle to stay present and calm. We as a family try to go for a walk everyday. We take our family dog with us. Another distraction for me is cooking but this can be a challenge as I struggle with motivating myself but when I get into it I create some nice things. Today my 8year old son and I made oat based banana and chic chip muffins. 😋😋

I hope everyone's day has been a good day filled with self care and motivation.

Re: Tough Times

@Lee82Hope you are coping, even if your feelings are all over the shop... just hanging in there is all we can do some times ... grace and beauty and light ... may come another time ...

@Former-Member

a lot depends on personality ... I could not talk about womens business until well after my first child was born at around 30. I would just go quiet and politley avoid it ... without thinking anything ... no shock ... just ... move on ... it took another 20 years to figure out that I had been sexually abused ... I would have been mortified in your shoes Lee. Dad's gf was not a good role model and very psychologically intrusive and invasive ... tbh... but maybe one day you can laugh at it and her and him, but I do not know the full history and a lot depends on the whole situation.

Re: Tough Times

@Appleblossom , I have only recently discovered that I personally don't like "those kind of conversations" but am always up for a little laugh. I use have conversations like that a lot making fun of situations, toys, ect and it turns out I was just trying to ignore what happened to me as a child/teen humour to mask was one of my main coping techniques.

@Lee82 , well I am here for the long haul with you tonight my love. Exh2 sister is here babysitting me while he goes gets their mum from hospital. PLEASE SAVE ME😂😂she means well but looks scared like I am about to jump out of a window or something 😂😂😂

Re: Tough Times

Thanks @Appleblossom just trying to stay as calm as I can but failing.
I have no problems taking about pleasurable things and making jokes as well as hearing other people experiences. i just have extreme issues with the real thing. Triggers me and always has. I have never had a good experience. It has been affected me all my life.

Super lee to the rescue!!! Lol

im here babe. Just ignore her...I know it's probably more to do with her not understanding what's going on for you rather than her being mean and she just doesn't know how to handle the situation.

So much can happen that is too difficult to put into words. An approach that has gradually been healing for me is collecting art about women that inspires me.

@Appleblossom , can't wait to see the images you have posted.

@Lee82 , I am truly sorry you haven't had good experiences in "that" way. I was 30 something before I knew how it was meant to be. But that's gone too now, I don't think I will ever be brave enough to try "that" with anyone else ever again.

babe never say never...you just need to find the right person and all that will change. And slowly slowly you will be comfortable and strong enough to try again:

Hmm, Kimmy (alter 5yrs old) has not managed to grasp the idea of how Nics's dog treats work. Found myself on the floor with the container just feeding them to the dog 😂🤨
