Tough Times

Tough Times

I thought I'd open up this discussion for anyone going through a rough time at the moment and want to get some extra support.
I am struggling a lot at the moment dealing with a range of things. One thing a struggle with is Anxiety. This is something I deal with everyday. I wake up with it every morning and fall asleep (when I sleep) with it every night. Some days are worse than other days. Distractions play a big part in coping with it daily. At the moment being stuck at home schooling my kids is my biggest distraction. It helps most of the time however sometimes it can be a real struggle to stay present and calm. We as a family try to go for a walk everyday. We take our family dog with us. Another distraction for me is cooking but this can be a challenge as I struggle with motivating myself but when I get into it I create some nice things. Today my 8year old son and I made oat based banana and chic chip muffins. 😋😋

I hope everyone's day has been a good day filled with self care and motivation.

Re: Tough Times

@Former-Member Like so many here I admire your strength and courage too. Every day you get up and get on with it - some days are super tough but you do get through them- hold onto that because it does take courage to face what you do and still keep going. I hope the break place comes through for you tomorrow and you can get the support you deserve

Re: Tough Times

Its a really hard situation @Former-Member the waiting game can honestly be worse then the outcome. Id suggest some distractions and lots of self care to pass the time.
Maybe he will allow you privacy to shower if you agree to remove everything from the bathroom except the things youll need to use? Would that help you to shower on your own and provide a safe environment?

Re: Tough Times

Yes I'm safe, thanks. @outlander

And not really no, I'm just listening to music. I feel this way a lot especially lately, and after seeing that rude MH nurse

Are you ok too?

How about all of you? @Lee82 @Former-Member and whoever else is here

Re: Tough Times

Im glad your safe @Former-Member

Stress, anxiety and issues like the things that happened with your nurse can really cause havoc on the brain. Maybe once you get your complaint sorted and hopefully find a good match for you with your support worker it might help you to move forward and let some past worries go.
Listening to music is good, thats usually one of my go to things too. Have you got some phone games that you find occupies your mind as well till you get more tired?
