That home help guy shouldn't be working in that job! I hope they'll give you someone else (but not the critical lady).

I'm meeting my abusive father this morning in a neutral cafe for coffee. I only meet him twice a year and am dreading it. (I speak to him on the phone twice a year also, making it 4 contacts a year only - a boundary I set).

The meeting with my abusive father went better than expected @Dimity . Now that's over for another 6 months.

Because I'm working from home now, my workdays are more flexible. So I'll start earlier today then pop out for coffee with a friend. But I won't make a habit of that.

I'm glad that family encounter went better than expected @NatureLover .

Council said they'd send the critical helper. The ableist one I refused to make permanent 4 weeks ago. My home help is now suspended. I guess it must be what I deserved. I was in freeze and weeping for hours this morning before contacting council. It's been a horrible experience. They said they're still working with the chap who wrecked the showerscreen and threw mugs of water a fortnight ago.

Did hours of admin work this evening. Wrestling with new online accounts. Trying to sort things out.

The cat's unwell and I hope it's not because I'm stressing him.

I'm getting chest pains again. Probably anxiety.

I didn't end up working from home yesterday, the coffee and socialising derailed me, but I'll do it today instead. I also sat outside in the sun with a book, as the next few days are going to be rainy.

Well done for doing hours of admin, especially when you were so upset. I hope today is a better day for you.

@NatureLover , How are you travelling? We had 1 lovely sunny day and my oh my, it lifted my spirits so much. I think I don't realise the power of the sun until we go through a winter.

I aspire to reading when I'm in the right headspace. My new reading glasses are good and I have the Vision Australia lamp.

I had a glimmer of hope with the legal stuff today. I've barely started, it will take weeks.

Pleased I got 3 hours' chores done today. If I persevere I might catch up. I'm a bit sore so I'll pace myself.

You're right, the sun lifts our spirits! I know it would be even worse without it, but my S.A.D. stays now till the end of October roughly.

I am hoping to get a bit done on the house today. It wasn't raining so I was able to get in a dawn walk. If I could achieve 3 hours like you did, I'd be pleased.
