Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi, I have just joined. I have a few mental illnesses, but am especially interested in hearing if there are any diagnosed germophobes or people with hoarding disorder on these forums?

I don't know any germophobes in real life, and would be interested to know how any of you pre-Corona germophobes are doing. Can you find enough sanitiser? If not, what are you using instead? Has your germophobia gone sky-high in this pandemic? Do you find it less or more lonely now that nearly everyone is a self-confessed germophobe?

My germophobia is quite bad - I can't have anyone in my house, and need lots of sanitiser when I go out. E.g. I use it after leaving my house and before I get in the car; again before I touch the steering wheel, again after touching my purse, again before putting my seat belt on, etc. I am struggling to find enough sanitiser. If I run out, I was thinking about diluting some disinfectant and putting it into an old water bottle to take out with me. I had one really bad panic lasting 3 days that was debilitating, due to COVID-19, but after that thankfully my germophobia came back down to normal levels. I guess normal levels are not that great but at least I am used to them!

I am strangely finding it more lonely as a diagnosed germophobe now, and would really like to meet some other germophobes online and hear how you're going. At least I had a friend tell me that I was in a stronger position than him, during this health crisis, as he had trouble remembering to wash his hands, whereas I wash them a hundred times a day already!

Hello dear @NatureLover

It's a good to see you. I can't believe you got to work, well done. I'm pleased to hear you've been eating something. It's hard sometimes to aways make good food choices, you will...be kind to yourself. We all slip occasionally.

I am excited you have invited a friend over for coffee, I am aware that is huge. That makes me really happy NL.

I'm also very glad you have your job, but I am certain that they adore having you so it would be a two way street. I'm so glad that they are empathetic towards you. Thank goodness there are people like that around hey?

I hope my boy comes home in a better place NL, he has to 🙏

I slept quite well but I've woken with the feeling of dread. I'm emotional and so sad. I want to retake and it be a dream. I honestly can't bear the thoughts. I offered to go over there for when they get the news but Dad said he wants just Mum.

I will let you know the outcome of his tests.

The infusion and transfusion knocked him round yesterday. I'll call later to see how his night was and how he's feeling.

NDIS review is tomorrow. With my boy in hospital it could be a Trainwreck. What's the saying, the best laid plans...need wishes please that he gets on the phone and the funding is provided for the right supports this time around to truly get him on the path to recovery 🙏

After tonight that will be a dig deep exercise to sit through. I don't intend on sharing Dad's news with my boy tonight. Unfortunately he is aware of the scan results being given today. Hoping he forgets, he is very self focused most of the time in hospital 🙏

I promise you I give what I can. If I here and supporting it's cause I can ☺️

The new girl resigned yesterday. I don't think I had mentioned the toxic lady had a new girl in her team. I think she lasted 4 weeks. That role has been like a revolving door for the best part of 12 to 18 months I think. Surely management will wake up one day! Anyway, not my bag to carry. A saying I picked up from a member that I just love haha. Especially when I don't actually carry a bag since Covid.

Dear @Eve7 I am so happy to hear you went home and you are safe. Gosh you're special to us here. I love this space that NL has created. I enjoy our chats and connection and to have you here as regularly as you feel safe and joining in would be truly a blessing. I hope you will continue to be here dear Eve 💞

You too @Emelia8 💖

Gosh it's 845, I better start on my work day. You are all in my heart. I'll leave some freshly brewed coffee for when you return as well as some Queensland sun that Eve left on previous occasions and lots and lots of love for you all.

And some healthy food to feel your souls

@Anastasia I'm sorry about your heavy feeling of dread and sadness 😞 No wonder you can't bear the thoughts. So many challenges for you 😞

Thanks for understanding, my friend

And thanks for your kind words about my work...I was just saying yesterday to one of the other volunteers that we are so lucky in the staff members and my boss, they are all so lovely. Well, except for the CEO's wife maybe, lol. But did I tell you she doesn't like the new boss much, so she has been staying more at her desk in the other area? So I haven't been having to wait for a computer for a while, thank goodness. She still comes in and tries to boss us all around, even my boss...I just smile and give her whatever she wants.

Oh my gosh re your toxic manager and her revolving staff 😮 To make people give up and resign after 4 weeks...she should be ashamed of herself. Not often I use the word 'should', but that is disgusting.

Yes, of course. I prefer having specific wishes to wish. 🤞

Thank you for the salad, fruit, veggies, and sun 🙂

Hope you are OK and coping... 💚☕

Dear @Eve7 , what @Anastasia said. It would warm my heart so much if you do feel comfortable enough to chat here on this thread. 💛

Thank you for your kindness @NatureLover @Anastasia

I’ll be praying for you today whatever the news....big hugs coming your way. We went through this with my dad and then my h. I feel for you my friend as I know that feeling of dread in the morning all too well.

ACT called me this morning and I said I’d be ok. Then pdoc called, well actually the receptionist called but I assured her I’d be ok today. I needed help last night but anyway what will be will be. Currently at the hairdressers and later I have a GP appointment so will work from home tonight.

My toxic manager is taking 6 months LSL!!!!

Hope today is ok for you both and thanks for letting me plonk myself here.

Lots of love

@Anastasia I'm worried by the blank post that you deleted...I had a look and I can't see any news about your Dad...I fear it's bad news and I don't know if you're OK.

Sending many hugs and wishes 💚
