Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi, I have just joined. I have a few mental illnesses, but am especially interested in hearing if there are any diagnosed germophobes or people with hoarding disorder on these forums?

I don't know any germophobes in real life, and would be interested to know how any of you pre-Corona germophobes are doing. Can you find enough sanitiser? If not, what are you using instead? Has your germophobia gone sky-high in this pandemic? Do you find it less or more lonely now that nearly everyone is a self-confessed germophobe?

My germophobia is quite bad - I can't have anyone in my house, and need lots of sanitiser when I go out. E.g. I use it after leaving my house and before I get in the car; again before I touch the steering wheel, again after touching my purse, again before putting my seat belt on, etc. I am struggling to find enough sanitiser. If I run out, I was thinking about diluting some disinfectant and putting it into an old water bottle to take out with me. I had one really bad panic lasting 3 days that was debilitating, due to COVID-19, but after that thankfully my germophobia came back down to normal levels. I guess normal levels are not that great but at least I am used to them!

I am strangely finding it more lonely as a diagnosed germophobe now, and would really like to meet some other germophobes online and hear how you're going. At least I had a friend tell me that I was in a stronger position than him, during this health crisis, as he had trouble remembering to wash his hands, whereas I wash them a hundred times a day already!

Hi @NatureLover hope you've had a good day.

I am ok but I haven't been writing much on "my" thread lately. Just don't feel safe there at present.

Oh gosh, @Eve7 - am so sorry to hear this! That's terrible.

I will try to follow your news by looking up your recent posts instead.

<Looked up posts> I'm glad your work seems to be going OK? And you have a new cat?

I'm wondering if you want to let team@saneforums.org know that you don't feel safe on your thread?

Seding hugs and 💛

Thank you @NatureLover 🙏💕

Returning it tenfold with love x

Thanks, dear @Anastasia

I seem to be doing OK this morning, had a good day at work yesterday and feel better for it. Now I just need to achieve some things on the house, like clearing away the bags on the floor to make more room to walk. My brother in NSW is planning to come and visit in a few weeks' time - as a belated 50th birthday celebration for me! So I now have good motivation to tidy and clean the house. It's extremely windy here so am hoping we don't lose power...extreme wind warnings for today and tomorrow.

It's Friday, which means you will be feeling extra depleted on top of being already very depleted 😞 ...sending wishes for strength to get through what you need to today, and for no dramas. Here are lots of ☕☕☕ as well as some bright 🌷🌻 for your office room at home. Sending other wishes too (your mole being benign, that toxic girl to stay away, your boy, your emotional/mental/physical energy, etc.)

Plus 💚 and hugs for you!

It’s just me getting paranoid when Lots of people pass through and I think I’m being spied on.

I cancelled my pdoc appt yesterday because I thought she was spying.

The cat is going well.

Have a good weekend 🤸‍♂️❤️☔️

Hello @Eve7 and @NatureLover

I can finally breathe...

Stay here Eve, we like you being here 🙏

I have missed catching up with you both. I am popping in to say I submitted my video Role play today so I have officially finished Tafe!!!! (Unless I fail it) it was funny doing it with my boy because he had me in stitches so we had to do it over a couple of times 🤣

I have completed the NDIS review paperwork, I just need my boy to read over make any changes and then we will submit to coordinator.

I followed up re the scholarship and they have shortlisted and will release in about a week 🤞

My boys doing ok...still seeing the girls 😔but I need to allow him to make decisions and pray that the last two years have enabled enough growth to put down the boundaries needed to keep him safe 🙏

Not easy.

How did you go.witht he clearing @NatureLover ?

You must be excited about your brother coming?

Did you see the email today? Sounds interesting 👍

How are you coping with your cat and bird situation @Eve7 . I'm sorry I am completely out of the loop.

Hugs and love to both of you x

Thanks @Anastasia

Well done on getting the plan ready. I doubt that I’ll be returning to my old job there.

The bird has been moved to another room for now for safety reasons. The cat has moved right in and taken over lol.

I’m watching Taronga with Miss 4 who is fascinated with the giraffes moving house from Dubbo to Sydney. I haven’t been to the zoo for years and last time we went gd1 tried to walk through the gate to Pat a giraffe!!!

Aiming to be in bed early tonight.

💙💙
