Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hi, I have just joined. I have a few mental illnesses, but am especially interested in hearing if there are any diagnosed germophobes or people with hoarding disorder on these forums?

I don't know any germophobes in real life, and would be interested to know how any of you pre-Corona germophobes are doing. Can you find enough sanitiser? If not, what are you using instead? Has your germophobia gone sky-high in this pandemic? Do you find it less or more lonely now that nearly everyone is a self-confessed germophobe?

My germophobia is quite bad - I can't have anyone in my house, and need lots of sanitiser when I go out. E.g. I use it after leaving my house and before I get in the car; again before I touch the steering wheel, again after touching my purse, again before putting my seat belt on, etc. I am struggling to find enough sanitiser. If I run out, I was thinking about diluting some disinfectant and putting it into an old water bottle to take out with me. I had one really bad panic lasting 3 days that was debilitating, due to COVID-19, but after that thankfully my germophobia came back down to normal levels. I guess normal levels are not that great but at least I am used to them!

I am strangely finding it more lonely as a diagnosed germophobe now, and would really like to meet some other germophobes online and hear how you're going. At least I had a friend tell me that I was in a stronger position than him, during this health crisis, as he had trouble remembering to wash his hands, whereas I wash them a hundred times a day already!

Hi @Anastasia , popping in (to my own thread! haha) to say am thinking of you and your son. I think there will probably be an announcement by your premier today or tomorrow about whether your lockdown will be extended? Am crossing fingers for you, although the latest case numbers there are high 😞 so goodness knows.

(Popped in to my own thread as I always find it hard to find yours!)

Sending you heaps of good wishes to the universe. 💚

Thank you so much @NatureLover where ever you say hello is aways appreciated. I feel somewhat removed from things at the moment, can't put it into words really other than I don't know where everyone is at. I guess it's self preservation mode?

My boy has his depot injection today at the new clinic. I'm on edge as it's in a hotspot and he's there for half the day.

I have done endless research and reached out to a number of pdocs. I heard personally back from one yesterday, wow! So sent him my boys referral to "triage". I've accepted the fact that even after all of my research and findings my boy may choose to keep his current pdoc. I will insist that the fortnightly/monthly appointments are reduced and try to remove it from my thoughts if this is the case. The fact that I pay and my boy is respectful is in my favour. I do feel it's a heavy burden for me to carry in trying to convince him to change. Perhaps I let him attend the next one and maybe that will provide enough for him to decide for himself that the guys an ar,$e?? Don't know...just keep going around in circles...

Thank you for your wishes to the Universe. They are needed. I think today I will do some energy exercises. It can't hurt.

I don't feel at all confident that lock down will end, nor should it based on numbers. I've had four friends who have lost loved ones in the last two weeks. What an awful, awful time this is. I am happy Melbourne's has lifted. I'm sad about the Country NL, it's so divided. Never in my lifetime has this been so evident.

I'm sorry everything is bleak...probably why I've stayed away a bit. It's a struggle for me to the moment to find something good to say.

Anyway gorgeous. Thank you for reaching out to me. Forever grateful and I hope you get out and have a cuppa with a friend now that you can do that. I'll be there in spirit. Love and hugs 💞

Am popping back on as we might lose power @Anastasia ...am sorry you are feeling so bleak, made specific wishes to the universe after reading your reply on my email notifications this morning.

I think if you are in self preservation mode, that's good - not good that it's required of course, but good that you can activate it when needed.

Wow, half the day...I hope it goes well and he doesn't have any Covid effects like quarantine or Covid.

Wishing for wisdom for you and your boy about pdocs. What a stress.

You're right about the divided country. 😞 Not just betwen states but between people. I think I told you my nice neighbour is a conspiracy theorist...plus she gets angry and very offended if anyone wears a mask into her house, as per the rules (she's against lockdowns, masks, all the govt rules). I have to be very careful around her. She's still a lovely person though 🙂

Am wishing for strength and endurance for you and your boy about the lockdown.

And I wanted to say, please don't worry about trying to find something positive to say, if you can't find anything at the moment. I am wishing that you can find something soon, for yourself I mean, to feel a bit better in yourself. But if you can't, that's OK too, the circumstances at the moment with everything don't lend themselves to it, I know!

Sending extra hugs and 💚 at the moment (green is such a positive colour, I think, which is why I chose it for you a while ago - it's so vibrant, the colour of a lot of nature and one of my favourites). But do let me know what your favourite colour is if you prefer!

So after believing I'd found a clinic when my boy got there he was turned away.

Talk about almost having a nervous breakdown!!!!

luckily his own GP practice said to bring him there, however as a result I am now sitting in the car with him for three hours monitoring him in conjunction with nurse half hourly checks to make sure a trip to emergency isn't necessary!!!

I am feeling extremy vulnerable emotionally now and will most likely fall apart when we get home @NatureLover

OMG, why was he turned away?!! Am outraged 😯

Am glad you managed to get the depot today, but sitting in the car for 3 hours sucks...how is he coping?

I feel for you...I want to say, you did well today. Your son needed the depot today and you got it for him. I am here for you @Anastasia while you wait for any alarming side effects...sending wishes to the universe for no side effects, and for strength for you. It's OK to fall apart once you get home. 💚
