Thanks, @Maggie , yes, it was a puzzle! I'm not sure it will last, once we get busier and she needs the phone in the front office...I need the phone too, but I'm just a volunteer. We don't have enough equipment really.

It struck me yesterday that I do answer the phone to distressed or angry people occasionally at work...maybe even once per day...but it has never led to burnout feelings for me. Maybe because I'm in work mode, and my boss told me years ago what to say to them...maybe also because I'm a volunteer, and I can pass anything that I can't handle onto the staff or my boss. Somehow it's different to answering distressed people here, on the forums. Maybe because I can relate more to people here with MI, and am more emotionally involved...or maybe because the distressed /angry people at work aren't suicidal, to my knowledge...I don't know.

Actually cloudy with rain here today. I'm glad you have sun. I have lunch with the other volunteers today, that will be nice. Not everyone is back at work yet, due to density rules.

Yep ✔️ details here too lol. Is in my job description. I remember my contract had an inconsistency so I raised it and they said they were impressed with my attention to detail ☺️ Can be a downside too as I am sure you are all aware.

@NatureLover I know the CG roll changed things for me. I normally have an over the top feeling of responsibility with most things, I take it too seriously, and I threw myself into it in almost frenzy mode. I wonder if it’s a similar thing with you. Like you said, you can hand it on at work. I’ve backed off and the boat is still afloat. 😂😂😂😂😂

My cleaning help comes every fortnight, so not this week either. I’ve been sorting paints ,stones and canvases 🤬🤬🤬 Its a tiny flat, so not much room. That might be a good thing.

I hadn't realised that your cleaning help comes fortnightly. I agree about the tiny flat maybe being good - I have the same. Still, must be frustrating not having several large tables on which to spread out your stuff. Imagine the luxury of having one large table for stones, one for canvases and one for paints! No wonder you use the bathroom. I can only fit one small table for my computer...but then again I'm not painting these days, so it's OK.

Your range of things to eat made me smile 😄 Actually we're going to a cafe which serves creative gourmet food and which has a yummy vegan menu alongside its normal menu. I think if I could have cooked vegan food like they cook it, I might have stayed vegan. It's my favourite cafe. Sadly, I have expensive tastes in food 😣

The bullying lady is not actually my boss...my boss is thankfully lovely, but she can't control the CEO's wife, as the CEO lets her do whatever she wants. It's tricky.

In my former work, I too had the reputation for finding errors and inconsistencies.

Although my work revolved around accounting (which does need to be details focused), I was soon given the task of checking and proofing everything before it left the office ... that included letters, invoices, tax returns sent through to ATO, etc. I used to get light hearted jibes about it, but it was all in fun ... I think.

brekky was good with my friend yesterday. We do it a couple of times a week usually after our walk. We used to meet after a run but now we just walk!! There’s about 7 in our group that are regular so I’m really lucky there.
