Hi everyone,
The upcoming AFL grandfinal and NRL finals this weekend made me wonder if anyone here supports any particuarly team. Does't have to be footy - can be any sport - soccer, basketball etc.
I'm Sydney based, so I will cheering for the Swans this weekend. My NRL team is out now 😞 Manly Sea Eagles were eliminated last weekend. It would be good to see Souths make it through and win.
Anyone a big supporter of a team?
Nik

Interesting article about ex-knights, now Broncos Darius Boyd, dealing with his depression and recovery
@Loopy - you're a broncos supporter, right?
Always great to see this type of message coming from those who the general public would perceive as immune to mental health difficulties. Check it out here

Hi @NikNik,
I support Port Adelaide in the AFL. I am a David Koch/Sunrise fan also and he is on the PA board. I like the today show as well. Lisa Wilko mainly. I like Virginia on the ABC breakfast show too. Having a MI and fully understanding discrimination I try not to discriminate and watch all 3 breakfast shows every morning. I like to share the ratings. lol.
I support bulldogs in the Women's' AFL.
Anyway it was supposed to be about sport so yes PAdelaide are having an o.k season this year. We are fifth on the ladder and play GC Suns this Sat.
I also like basketball and support Melbourne United (previously tigers). My fav basketball player is Lauren Jackson as she is from my home town and there is a stadium named after her. I was sad to hear that her knee forced her to retire early but I am sure she is busy inspiring new up and coming players and is involved in charity work.
I support South Sydney in the rugby league. Not the best season boys? That's o.k though. If this year was a season for me it would not have been the best season in my career either. There's always next year though if you plan and set goals to achieve.

Thanks for bringing this thread back up! I had not seen it before now.
I am an avid Broncos supporter and my fav player is Sam Thaiday. I also like North Qld Cowboys and my all time favourite footy player, Johnathon Thurston.

Hey @NikNik, I think Kevin Walters should stick to coaching the Maroons. He does a fabulous job there and would be hard to replace! I am a Maroons die hard. I had my face painted and dressed head to toe in the winning colours for SOO. I'd love to see the Broncos get up and win the grand final, but they'll have tough competition from the Storm there (I personally think Storm will take it out which is ok because they aren't a NSW team).
As soon as footy is over, it will soon be time for cricket. I'm a big Heat fan in the big bash too! Can't stand test matches though! I prefer the fast pace of the big bash!
