It all sounds as supportive as it can be @Smc .....

Is your daughter taking distractions in with her ?

Does she do adult colouring books, puzzles, etc ?

Can she take something "country" in with her, like a cuddly throw rug ? I took one in to my mum when she was long-term in hospital .... very tactile and comforting.

Despite being a young adult, she has some much loved teddies, and one or more will no doubt make the trip with her. Her favourite distractions are jewellery making and hand sewing. She'll take some projects with, and apparently the clinic will allow her to have scissors with her, but we don't know whether that "privelige" may be withdrawn at some point during the stay. They do qualify as a dangerous item according to clinic rules. She's got some interest in colouring and artwork, so may be able to fall back on those if she can't do her other projects. She's somewhat worried about getting bored. She's not very open in group therapy sessions, and is officially being excused from them. She's somewhat resistant to art therapy sessions too, and both of those are usually a big focus in clinics.

Awww, ta. But her Dad is a very talented artist and craftsman too, so she's got it coming at her from both sides... I can't take full credit.
