Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hi All

There is a thread operating on the Lived Experience Forum under Night Shift where members who are having trouble sleeping for any reason give a bit of a shout-out, to see if there is anyone else sleepless and looking for company. It's been such a great thing, I thought I would start one over here too.

I have had the odd few nights where I have woken up on and off, and my kids have been having a bit of trouble some nights too, depending on what has happened during the day.

Being a carer can be lonely too, so if you are making an after-midnight cup of something hot, and wonder who else might be doing that too, maybe have a look-in here and see if anyone else is about.

Thinking out loud @Faith-and-Hope?

To paint or not to paint - that is the question? Do you allocate a certain time on a regular basis to do so or is it whenever the mood hits you? Is this a project in progress?

Yeah - go with some water and fruit. Have a coffee a bit later.

I made a big pot of vege soup. You're welcome to have some.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Thanks @soul .... veggie soup sounds yum to me .... would get a mutiny from others here though .... 😊

Painting is generally fitting it in where I can timewise - easier this year that my kids have all finished school .... but also to do with mindspace. I have to be able to shut everything out and be with the painting in the moment ...... need peace of mind to concentrate.

Welcome home @Former-Member lol

That's a lot to deal with when you return home from a holiday.

Dead chook is not the one the dog plucked a while back was it. A case of delayed reaction?

Boy dog has a psychological obsession with food... ? lol thats because he's a boy. Wonder what the guy would say about our boy lol. He's a regular hog when it comes to food. Teeth are atrocious because he wont chew antyhing just gulps it down. Re the girl, good to see they looked after her well. I would not be at all happy if that were me.

Leak in the ceiling not good either, had problems with that in tne past, darling still flips out every time it rains.

Sadly it wasn't the rooster @Determined who is once again looking handsome.

Thinking of giving boy dog his meal split in a muffin tray to help slow him down with eating, girl dog will be OK, she is usually fine with other dogs and kennels responded quickly.

When we got this place the building report said patching roof would buy us time but replacement would be necessary. We got one of four sections replaced and had solar panels installed on that bit, the leaking section was due next but everything got put on hold with the mental health crisis.... was hoping to get kitchen done before roof but not to worry.

@outlander we saw Might & Power, Roganjosh and Efficient. There was also Cox Plate winner Fields of Omagh. Was allowed to pat them and feed them carrots and licorice. Efficient who will gently accept food but apparently is inclined to bite if you try and pat him so we left him alone.
