Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hi All

There is a thread operating on the Lived Experience Forum under Night Shift where members who are having trouble sleeping for any reason give a bit of a shout-out, to see if there is anyone else sleepless and looking for company. It's been such a great thing, I thought I would start one over here too.

I have had the odd few nights where I have woken up on and off, and my kids have been having a bit of trouble some nights too, depending on what has happened during the day.

Being a carer can be lonely too, so if you are making an after-midnight cup of something hot, and wonder who else might be doing that too, maybe have a look-in here and see if anyone else is about.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

Well I have to drive home from work. Need to go to shops to pick up some stuff to pack for camping trip this weekend. Think will buy my BBQ meats from the city tomorrow at lunch. Going to have a BBQ dinner Fri and Sat night. If you have suggestions that be great. I saw a hoisin chicken kebab at Woolies today...

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

First time since I was in Year 5 that I am going camping. But it isn't full on camping like my partner calls it as I still have access to hot showers and fridge. Easing myself into it.

So ideas on "foodie" people on what will go well on a barrrr---biieee (is that how you pronounce it? )

@Anony18 perhaps chevon?

The young couple invited their elderly pastor for Sunday dinner. While they were in the kitchen preparing the meal, the minister asked their son what they were having.

"Goat," the little boy replied.

"Goat?" replied the startled man of the cloth, "Are you sure about that?"

"Yep," said the youngster. "I heard Dad say to Mom, 'Today is just as good as any to have the old goat for dinner.'

If it's a flat barrrr-bieee platte @Anony18, pancakes are good for breakfast .... And grilled fruits like pineapple, peach, mango ....

Good old rissoles .... I put grated chees into mine with onion and chutney.

Okay then, prawn kebabs and fish parcels ..... grilled octopus or squid is really nice too, especially with salad greens.

@Anony18

Anyone else getting hungry with all this ?

Tandoori chicken is awesome on the BBQ... and easy as long as you do a good marinade overnight and all the flavours come out... hmmm mmmm sooooo good best and only way to have really good tandoori chicken if you ask me @Anony18
