Swannies tonight .... go Swans. @Spookytookims - You should be concentrating on your own team, the Bombers, instead of poking your nose in and going against Darcy and my Swannies. However .... I forgive you for barracking against my Swans tonight. Damn it! Just this once, mind you.

My hubby and I used to have country membership for the Swans a few years ago, but let it lapse as we just cant get to the City enough to warrant maintaining membership. But I have been to quite a few games at the SCG plus several at ANZ Stadium as well.

No question that AFL is a far better spectator sport than NRL. And on the TV you actually miss quite a bit of what is happening around the ground. Because unlike with NRL, with AFL there is matchups and things happening even where the ball isnt. So it much better to be there live than at home watching. Possibly why they get such big crowds at AFL games. NRL crowds are dwindling.

So when the Swans are playing, I try to put something red on her. Just to try to disguise her 'true colours' of black and white. @Spookytookims, do your cats follow Geelong or the Tiges, like Darcy suggests?

I think my chocky, being the cerebral rule breaker she is, would probably follow the doggies. Just to spit the other two and pffft at their need to conform.

My Blue tigger stripey would definitely follow the cats I think being the right colour and their mascot being like him and my Bipsy would just turn upside down in her bipsy position and watch any tigers game. Because for some reason (despite supposedly cats not being able to see colour), she is fascinated by yellow. Have they updated that theory yet?
