It's been a quiet morning. Just about to go out to lunch with a very good friend. I had a couple of social engagements cancelled this week so this will be my first contact with "real" people for a while.

Am thinking my role is now to quietly live as happily as I can, without spending lots of energy on reaching out or work.

Maybe that is just retirement?

Or anyone else who may be about right now. I have just made a pot of tea, is anyone would like to share. And I have just found a set of those lovely old thin china cups. Tea somehow tastes nicer from those. How many of you automatically put the little finger up in the air with these kinds of cups? I think I do it because it wont fit in the hole, and it gets burnt if you dont stick it up.

@Determined - Friday's are normally my day dreaming days haha. But today I have been busy with meetings so until now have not really thought about my partner. I know it will come to me. And I will try again to reach out.

@Appleblossom - thanks. I try not to but I have those moments it can get hard and you think what did I do wrong?
