A Community Guide is a community member, not a moderator, who has usually been here a while and is familiar with how the forums operate. We are in a bit of a support and assistant planning role, just to help things operate a bit more smoothly.

As community members we have come to the forums with our own personal life challenges around mental health - as a carer, as. someone with lived experience of having a meantal health disorder, or sometimes as both.

If you would like some help to understand something specific about the forums a Community Guide can often help, and if we can't, we can direct you to the moderators for more information.

You will also come across Community Elders occasionally. These are forum members who have served as a Community Guide in the past, and while they are no longer actively involved in planning they are just as approachable for general questions.
