Yep, staring at the wall - I get that one.

I once fell asleep during a Uni lecture (at night) - my ringbinder folder slid right off my desk, & crashed loudly onto the floor.

The lecturer then said "I take that as a sign that we should finish now"....

@Adge, I remember one late in the year uni lecture. We'd been given assignments to complete at the last minute, on top of the exam revision we were meant to be doing. I'd guess at any given moment, half of the students there were nodding off, then the other half... self included.

Another lecture, different subject, rather uninspiring presentation... two girls up towards the back got up and walked out, but then came back about five minutes later with ice cream cones. 😛 Dunno if the lecturer noticed.

Well maybe icecream helps with concentration @Smc ?

Or else the lecture inspired them to get an icecream - they had a "lightbulb moment"....

I fell asleep a lot as I was riding my bicycle a long way. It got better when I moved closer to campus.

For my most recent study I did most of my reading flat on my back to give my neck a rest. It was actually effective and really helped my neck recover. I took 3 years part time to do a one year postgrad diploma ... which was fine as I am not in a hurry ... it gave me structure and distraction and many other things .... there are many reasons to study.

Keep at your goals. Be gentle with yourself when it gets tough. Its all about doing what gets you through and making it worth while.

Awwww ... Sweet. A meerkat mug. Can you stay with me for a cuppa @Shaz51 ? I read that you had low BSL yesterday Shaz. Dont want you having a hypoglycemic episode. Maybe a hot choc is just what you need. I also read elsewhere that youve had a quiet day today at least. Unusual for you, but much needed.

Hi everyone.

I only just got home from a Date. Several hours round trip, as it was an unknown place (a bit hard to find).

We spent about an hour in a cafe.

She seems nice, & has a whacky sense of humour (just like me).

The frothy stuff with choc sprinkles on top, is the only reason why I had a Capuccino.
