We still have the top tier of our wedding cake here. I was hoping to do something with it for our 15 year anniversary but that was in the middle of a crisis so nothing happened. Now 20 years is just around the corner so was hopeful but is seems darling could not be less interested in celebrating if she tried 😥

On the bright side... we are worlds away from where we were 5 years ago and even this time last year .

Lol @Former-Member , think I need an airbag for my keyboard. Have broken more than one keyboard in frustration. Not by intentionally hitting it but sometimes it kind of gets in the way 🙈

@Determined, ours was a "belated 25th anniversary" because there was too much happening that year. It was the year that my parents went into aged care, our son turned 21, my Mum turned 80, my parents had their 50th anniversary... the whole family was too worn out to organise another event. So we celebrated it two years late to co-incide with our 50th birthdays. When I say belated, I mean really belated.

It's one of those things with being a carer. Sometimes celebrating just doesn't fit into life as it happens. Our girl had one of her many crises in the leadup to the party, and it felt so odd organising a celebration in the middle of dealing with ER and psych team stuff, but the invitations were out, the hall was booked, so it was going ahead regardless.

Same @Smc .... not the ER bit, but we are celebrating a landmark birthday in September instead of June, and it’s not the first tine we have displaced an occasion up to around 11 months later, cos that’s where it fit !
