well I know that now @Faith-and-Hope and there is a maybe a 1% female participation rate for some reason, re that trade ..I dont see the anyone trying to break down the barriers tho .. it's an inequity not often talked about ..I am perfectly willing to give up my job to a female though

@Faith-and-Hope - just back from tennis match. Whole day today I been

1) physically tired due to dance concert yesterday....which went quick and so well. I gad go into work with deadlines looming sadly

2) emotionally and mentally tired as whilst in between dress rehearsals in arvo I got a long text from my partner having a rant...saying his flight got delayed and he can't get an earlier one so will miss my concert. How he tries accomodate everyone but himself which results in him having bad holidays. How his psych told him cut all ties but others convince him otherwise. How he tries accommodate people and it backfires so he is going give up. That He wants be alone and needs be etc. told me relax and enjoy and I do great. I don't know if he got on the plane in end or stayed overseas cause he was coming back for just my concert before going off again to escape. What upsetted or upsets me isn't that he didn't return but not knowing when he will reach out cause the reality seems him not having good time on holidays actually seems come down to him unable to put himself first if it won't do his MH good. And somehow I wish I could talk to him to say this to him. Or ask why does he feel need accomodate everyone. Tell him he never needed accommodate me he could say no and I would understand...,amongst a whole lotta other things.

Sorry for the huge post. Today is a low day on all aspects. But the concert went really great 😊 And despite my low energy levels I did well in tennis 👍🏻

Sorry to hear that your partner didn't make it back for the concert, but you were saying you knew it was a long shot anyway .... the thought was there .... and it sounds like at times he is setting the bar too high for himself, then becoming frustrated over the results, and feeling the need to find a reason to explain it that doesn't involve changing his own pattern of behaviour ....

.... you will see there is a pattern to changing behaviours that are not working for us, it has helped me to understand this in relation to my own WH ....

And glad to hear you did well in the tennis .... it is important to keep up your own life goals here ....
