Taking things easy this morning @Shaz51 but do need to get moving. Would like to go out this afternoon, perhaps look at ride in mowers with Mr D.

It was pouring for the amazing race and yet my eldest daughter and her friends had a great time moving around the city doing embarrassing things like dancing to thriller in the Mall. Followed by pizza, icecream cake and talking to the wee hours of the morning.

My husband and younger two enjoyed themselves which was great. We even got all the challenges done and came second in the race. Expecially for the team called "jus wanna makit" It was interesting to watch them achieve challenges which involved including strangers. All of them the same. Not wanting to do anything where they had to speak to someone they did not know or anything where other people could watch. It takes them a long time to warm up and get organised. I spent a bit of time pondering what would have happened if I hadn't been there to speak to people.

So funny. We take holidays in Queensland for the summer. And once I have tried to book appointments back home and they all went into the calendar an hour out.

It took me several missed apppointments to realise what had happened and multiple phone calls to shift the remaining appointments. So embarrassing!

So the moral of story, holidays are for resting and not planning the next month.

Hello @Faith-and-Hope et al. Just back from visiting parents, arrived home dinnertime last night. Currently catching up with assorted threads.

Whew, a few daylight savings ups and downs!

I'm no big fan of it myself, but we had a gentle ease in this time. Being away from home, our usual routine things weren't happening anyway (Sunday morning church...) and Younger Daughter's getting a couple of medical days off school so we didn't have to stress about the early wake up to catch the bus. She'll probably be back tomorrow though, so will have to make sure we're in bed at a good hour tonight!
