Hi @Former-Member .... 😊
You really do throw yourself into the work, don't you ? I remember you saying in another post a while ago that you tend to have a full-on work day, then a R&R recovery day in a two day rotation, and it seems to work well for you. You get a lot done. Mind you, I find it hard to leave a project alone once I sink my teeth into it .... and you've just saved yourself watering seedlings tomorrow. Well done ❣
Yes, it seems a bit crazy that the queen's birthday is celebrated on different dates across the different Aussie states and territories .... I imagine it's a bit of a throw-back situation from when they were operating in isolation from each other for the main part. Moving around a lot when I was growing up, it became clear that there were dramatically different academic standards between them all.
Yesterday was a bit of a detox day for me, quite unexpectedly .... the cold symptoms I had a couple of days before were the start of it, which was why the "cold" just glanced off .... I have what are referred to as toxic fat stores as a result of Metabolic Supyndrome, and when they release they make me feel quite unwell for a 2-3 day period. I haven't had one for a while, so although it's not great at the time, it is leading to a positive outcome in the longer term. It was great to connect with the Beer Garden, cos on days like that I need to just rest up, feeling crook, until it passes. The thread kept me nicely distracted, along with TV going in the background.
Today was walk for coffee, church, lunch at a local cafe with the twins (D1 & D2) cos D3 was sick in bed and S2 sleeping in till early afternoon and no food in the house ..... cos I haven't felt up to shopping .... D3 eating only toast .... then shopping for some wedding bits before a bit of a dance lesson for the kids at home - prep for the wedding. Went back to bed after that, late afternoon cos still not 100% .... then D3 and S2 ordered pizza .... so no cooking again .... 😊 .... yay ❣
