Oh I know about waiting and patience ..... ❣
Think we're somewhere around Year 6 now that my hubby has been in denial with an eating disorder that is slowly, slowly taking him down ..... and everything else with it .... walking in faith that he / we will be okay by the end of it all ....
The kids and I have had to just keep walking, then running, then walking ..... most of the time it's hard to see beyond the next few paces ... and often feels like we're in the washing machine ....
But these 6ish years have happened .... and our show has gone on ....
This year has been jam-packed with major events, which I am taking to be a blessing, cos I've just realised that without them this has probably been our hardest year yet with hubby (WH) ..... in a way his behaviour has been the most settled of the recent years, but that's cos he's coming and going from the eastern states every few weeks, and we are keeping him as pacified as we can when he's here .... moving hills and mountains around him to keep mood swings and melt-downs as steady as possible.
My D3 is trying to complete her Year 12 studies. I say "trying" cos there still seem to be obstacles around every corner. The next one is that she deferred completion of a TAFE Cert from Term 1 owing to illness .... that has allowed her to focus on completing the school-based component she needed to achieve .... by the skin of her teeth .... the Cert assessment is now due in three days and although she has completed most of it, there is more to do, along with an in-class assessment on Saturday ....
And guess what ? She can't find the task sheet.
She has probably been the worst affected by WH's illness, cos she was so young when it set in that she can't remember how he used to be ... and she's been growing up with all the chaos these last 6ish years without the awareness of where the illness starts and finishes with him .... it's reflecting in her health issues ....
I am so tired within myself now at the thought of each new hurdle .... can we make it over this one ? She will start having panic attacks if we can't find this task sheet tomorrow, but I am completely nauseated at the thought of looking for it myself. Her room looks like it has been burgled.
I'm making that tomorrow's problem right now .... don't know where I would be without the forums. They are my lifeline when the waves keep coming and I'm exhausted from battling them.
