Re: Self Harm

So proud of you not using SH, despite feeling overwhelmed. You've come so far @Angels333. It sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. Be kind to yourself!

Were you able to talk to them about your family issues? I know you were wanting to do that.

Sending 💚💚💚

Re: Self Harm

The induction was good but tiring. There is an excellent culture in the workplace with other volunteers and employees having lived experience. I didn't say anything about my experience, I am not ready. @Appleblossom

@Molliex I did talk about my brother with my psychologist and he said do what is best for me. I really feel I'm not safe if he directs his anger to me. I can only pray someone notices at school. I'm so angered and saddened but it's not my battle.

Re: Self Harm

Hey there @Angels333,

I wanted to pop by and let you know I'm worried hearing you say you feel unsafe when your brother gets angry at you. It's great you have your Psychologist and the SANE community for support. I wanted to give you the contact for 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) in case you wanted some specialised counselling support and a bit of a plan for what to do if you feel unsafe.

Stay in touch,

Sphinxly🐣

Re: Self Harm

@Former-Member it's tough. I lived through years with his assaults. I just know I can't get offside with him. He lives in another state so that is good. I wish it was different. I know I'm safe as he has no reason to be angry with me and I'll just stay well away from him.

Re: Self Harm

I'm feeling really overwhelmed right now. I keep second guessing my performance at the induction today and my anxiety is very high. I can't relax but I'm super tired. And thinking about my brother is upsetting me.

Re: Self Harm

@Angels333 sorry I haven't had time to reply to your earlier post. I'm cooking dinner right now, but I'm here with you, holding your hand.

It's very natural to 2nd guess yourself. Most of us do it after interviews or first days at work, etc. Feeling upset about your brother is also understandable. Is Mr Angels around? Can you talk to him?

Re: Self Harm

@Molliex I just want to be successful with this position. It's just volunteer for now but there's the possibility of paid work at the end.

My Angels is working late. I told him today was good but I was intimidated. I quite can't pin down what emotion I'm feeling I know that's a Borderline thing ... I think I'll go and journal it all while I wait for Mr A

Thanks so much for replying @Molliex , you're my special friend xx

@Angels333

Sadly I know that it is very hard when worrying about a brother who can get out of control. I know you know the drill ... all the present moment, mindfulness and breathe stuff.

Sending hugs.
