How can we brighten our days with laughter? What are your jokes, thoughts, ideas?

This thread is dedciated to making each other laugh

There's an old saying, 'laughter can be the best medicine'. I myself enjoy a good chuckle from the bottom of my belly that brings me close to tears. It does wonders for my well-being.

Some things that make me laugh are:

- Watching stand up comedy such as Die Roten Punkte, Flight of the Concords and Stand Up for Mental Health (if you don't mind black humour)

- Spending time with funny people - my niece and nephew are a barrel of laughs. It's great to see the world through their eyes.

- Watching funning movies and shows (The show 'Friends' and New Zealand movie 'Boy' are old favourites)

What about you?

I actually made myself laugh as I watched the new season premiere of Killing Eve series 3 - at lunchtime on Easter Monday.

The laughter is mainly for my mum when she is feeling down.

She is 74 nearly 75.

I joke about tv shows - make interesting accents as much as I can and much more.

The interesting part is that I don't actually always mean to make her laugh/amused as she has said many times I'm a natural.

This covid gets here down and we sometimes even comment on tv shows at the same time.

I wish it would end but doubt her birthday present will happen as soon as we can fly from Melbourne to Hamilton Island as soon as we are able too.

I already paid ages ago so hope it can happen sooner than later but will have to see if Virgin still exist as the flights are a direct one with them - checked the booking end of May to return June - the manage booking has status as flown which is dumb.

Mum doesn't understand and doesnt want to use a laptop so I do all the work for her.
