Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

I got told once. 'Focus on the solution not the problem ' this problem you're dealing with, may always be there to some degree or another. And I'm sure there's many others dealing with similar issues . But you've got to look at ways of managing this problem better... and from my experiences if it's not one problem it's another- so i suppose you could say life is very hectic and problematic no matter who you are or how well their outward appearances seems to be coping...

Hi all. I'm here again, was offline longer than planned but had a needed zone out on some eps of a show and then a nap. Then caught up on a bit of admin stuff I needed to do. Great to see the chats today.

Sorry to hear things are still so rough for you @saturnzoon Do you have a psychologist that you can talk openly with? They might have some advice about setting boundaries in a way your sons will respect.

Quite often i find that where there's happiness there is also this sadistic attitude and winner looser mentality. And yes ... quite often i feel like I'm loosing, and feeling lousy and down in the dumps-it happens even at the thought of 'taking action and getting on with life ' which i think because I'm sick of 'being stuck in my own mind and surroundings ' ... the other day i thought a quote up ... happiness and smiling is a sign of 'escaping the threat... ' a threat that essentially cannot be escaped ... wishy washy jargon or not ... i think it's great food for thought ...
