Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

Thanks @TAB but No thanks. I am not taking on any fixed roles on the forum and wanting less rather than more involvement. However I do love the people I have met here who have walked with me over last 5 years. I probably was the first to mention "soiree" on the forum and was glad when @eth made it a bit of an institution. Gave people a sense of class even when feeling down and out.

I struggle with the right to have my own space looking good for me. Its part of my weirdness. Soon I will have no excuse but to embrace the fact that I live in a beautiful home and garden. For a long time I was angry with those chasing the Home beautiful instead of caring about their nieces, nephews and cousins, but they were never going to care and still dont, and I need to stop my self sabotage and allow myself the pleasure of what I have. It has taken over a year to feel comfortable being in the space occupied by my son. I am starting to give myself the irrits about it, which is maybe a good sign I will move on.

Let somebody volunteer or let people who have enjoyed the Sat Soirree start it on a more organic level.
