Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

Hi @Shaz51 @MDT @Abby10 @Snowie @frog hope the afternoon has been peaceful for you all. I was planning to write something for a wednesday deadline but couldn't get my mojo working! Had a long chat with my NT mate, spent a while catching up on follow-up to emails, and turned off the computer for a few hours which I spent napping and reading. I'm online so much now with all the zoom meetings I've been doing that I really need time away from the computer sometimes.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a story down tomorrow. It always feels good to get something completed, but sometimes it's a bit of a slog to get started. The task this time is to write a story about something that happened in school days. And all I can come up with is stories of traumatic stuff where my memories are incomplete. Then I get blocked for words. I really don't have any happy times that I recall.

Sounded like such an easy challenge but it's actually not.

Hello dear @Shaz51 .

How are you going today? Are you a bit tired after the garden clean up?

I've been taking it very easy, due to my sore back & ribs. Looking forward to watching the AFL final tonight - hope Geelong get up. Can't stand Collingwood. But honestly, it could go either way.
