Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

L E T ' S P A R T Y !!!

EDIT : Do feel free to contribute some music too. Of any style. The more the merrier ...

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Hey @Appleblossom just googled your question and this might be helpful ..https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6316062/ . Basically it says there are varieties of both that are lower in sodium. Interestingly my recent blood tests showed I am low in sodium and my gp said just to eat more salt. I was very surprised by this result and her advice.

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

@Appleblossom yes the new lockdown laws in Victoria are somewhat alarming. I think you live down there somewhere and hope you're not in one of the hotspots. My niece is a midwife down there and said they are again having to wear face shields and masks again at work.

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Thanks for looking that up @eth

I am gradually overhauling my food habits for my own health needs rather than my childrens needs. Jeez Fish sauce is a sodium b omb. My hypertension is through the roof. It is more stress related than dietary as I am overall a low salt person, but ...

Yes very alarming. Lets just say I know the areas well, but not currently living in a hot spot. There is too much otherising of those in public housing as it is. Yes understand poverty and over crowding links.
