Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Hi again! @Shaz51 @Angels333 @Adge @Former-Member I'll be back for a while.

There was to be another writers festival broadcast at 4 but it's been cancelled.

The one I listened to already was a man's take on the #metoo movement. It contained a lot of interesting history about masculine/feminine roles in society, but I switched it off about half way through. It's all very well doing an academic analysis of all that (and apparently supporting and validating womens' experiences), but as someone who has lived through the extremes of being damaged (physically and mentally) by males and females and also knowing some males who've been abused by females, I found it hard at times. The whole premise was just so binary and neglected to acknowledge abuse by women or abuse within the LGBTQIA+ parts of our society.

Just a little light commentary for a Saturday afternoon. But that's where my head's been at the last couple of hours. @Appleblossom and @Adge it would have been interesting to discuss it with you too. And anyone else reading here who resonates with the topic.

Hey @Shaz51 , it was warm and sunny this morning. Went for a walk on the beach (of course maintaining social distancing plus) day in the car while my ex did the shopping I needed and now want to nap 😂

Nice one @TAB . One of the coolest gigs I ever went to was Bo Didley at the Darwin Amphitheatre in about 1976. My dad made me go!
